COVID-19 Update: Auckland at Alert Level 3

The government has just announced that from noon tomorrow (Wednesday, 12 August), Auckland will go into a Level 3 lockdown until midnight on Friday. The rest of the country will go into a Level 2 lockdown from noon tomorrow until midnight on Friday. We wanted to let you know what this means for our customers, partners and stakeholders. 


Firstly, please repeat what worked for you the last time we entered lockdown.  


24x7 helpdesk support 

We will be opening free 24x7 helpdesk support for all of our clients to support users to work from home. You can log a ticket regarding working from home via: 


  1. The Lancom Button on your desktop 
  2. Emailing support@lancom.co.nz  
  3. Via our portal at https://cloud.lancom.co.nz 
  4. Calling us on +64 09 3778282 - option 2 


Essential services 

If you are an essential service, our teams will be able to support you by visiting your site and setting up essential machines and hardware.  If you need us to visit, please contact your Customer Success Manager in the first instance.  Whilst we visit sites, we will stringently follow the Ministry of Health’s guidelines, to make sure our customers, and employees are safe.  


We’re able to provide hardware  
If you need new hardware products like laptops or licenses for the likes of Office 365 and VPNs, we can continue to get these couriered to you. Orders must be to solve work from home issues only though.  


We’re fortunate to bein the cloud  
We’re fortunate to have our systems in the cloud so it will be largely business as usual for our teams.
