Lancom joins Anthropic Authorized Reseller Program for Amazon Bedrock
Written by Lancom Technology, April 2026
The possibilities presented by artificial intelligence just got a powerful shot in the arm with recent announcements of the integration of popular Anthropic Claude models into AWS Bedrock. Making this combination a reality for its customers across New Zealand, Australia and further afield, Lancom Technology has joined the AWS Anthropic Authorized Reseller Program for Amazon Bedrock. The result, says CEO Priscila Bernardes, means faster time to value for customers wanting to adopt AI solutions.
“Authorised reseller programmes give us the raw materials for the creation and delivery of customer solutions,” she notes. “As an AWS partner for more than a decade and having moved decisively into delivering AI for our customers, the more tools we have in our armoury the better.”
The approval enables Lancom to support customers using Anthropic’s models on Amazon Bedrock, AWS’s fully managed foundation model service. Through this designation, Bernardes says Lancom has an enhanced capability to design, deploy and govern AI solutions that are secure, scalable, and aligned with AWS best practices. “And those solutions can now incorporate multiple LLMs; what that means in practice is a bit of an AI Swiss Army knife that allows using the best tool for the job.”
Lancom Technology Technical Director Gregor Blaj says Amazon Bedrock provides secure access to foundation models through a single API, without the complexity of managing underlying infrastructure. “It equips us to build and scale generative AI applications within a managed AWS environment while maintaining control over data, security, and compliance, while also using the best AI for specific tasks,” he explains.
Anthropic’s Claude family of models are designed for reasoning and enterprise use and are suitable for regulated and mission critical environments. Blaj, who says the models are named after mathematician Claude Shannon, explains that each model has a specific use case.
“Broadly, the models differ primarily in intelligence, speed, cost, and context-handling capabilities. For example, Claude Haiku is optimised for speed, while Sonnet is best for balanced performance. The flagship, Opus, costs more and is suitable for advanced reasoning and complex tasks like knowledge work, document analysis, customer engagement, software development and agent‑based workflows.”
As an AWS Anthropic Authorized Reseller, Lancom simplifies access and deployment of Anthropic models on Amazon Bedrock, accelerating the move from experimentation to production‑ready AI. “We’re supporting customers across strategy, architecture, security and governance, ensuring generative AI initiatives are implemented responsibly and integrated into existing AWS environments,” says Bernardes, noting that it has delivered working solutions in industries including healthcare, public services and the financial sector.
“We’re seeing a strong move from the initial experimentation that characterised 2024 and 2025 towards embedding generative AI safely into core operations,” she adds.
“Being part of the AWS Anthropic Authorized Reseller Program allows us to help customers access powerful AI models through Amazon Bedrock while maintaining strong controls around security, compliance and responsible use.”
