Lancom Technology appoints Bernard Moran as Australia Country Executive

Written by Lancom Technology, October 2026

With the appointment of dedicated executive leadership in Australia, Lancom Technology is stepping up its focus on this crucial market. Bernard Moran joins as Australia Country Executive, effective immediately, reinforcing the company's long-term commitment to one of the fastest-growing technology markets in the Asia-Pacific region.

The appointment comes as demand for managed services, cloud transformation, AI solutions and software development continues to accelerate across Australia, says Lancom Technology CEO Priscila Bernardes. “The Australian managed services market was valued at approximately US$6.5 billion in 2025 and is forecast to grow to almost US$12 billion by 2034, driven by increasing cloud adoption, cybersecurity requirements, digital transformation initiatives, and growing reliance on specialised technology partners like Lancom Technology.”

She says the company’s existing customer base in Australia is expected to grow. “Bernard is a respected technology leader who brings passion, knowledge and experience which elevates our operations and reach.

A seasoned technology executive, Melbourne-based Moran’s recent leadership roles include positions with Powernet IT Solutions, Virtual IT Group and organisations involved in multiple acquisitions and large-scale customer environments. His strengths span business growth, service delivery, customer engagement, and cloud strategy.

Moran now leads Lancom's Australian operations with a strategy centred on three priorities: deepening relationships with existing customers, growing the Australian team, and expanding Lancom's reach into new markets and industry sectors. "Our first priority is our existing customers," he confirms.

“My focus is on strengthening those relationships, ensuring we're continuing to deliver exceptional outcomes, and helping customers access more of what Lancom has to offer, in support of their growth.”

Australia's broader IT services market is experiencing significant expansion, growing from approximately US$41 billion in 2026 towards more than US$84 billion by 2034. Cloud migration, AI adoption, cybersecurity investment, and technology modernisation remain among the strongest drivers of demand.

As a provider of managed services, software development and cloud infrastructure, Bernardes says the opportunity is clear for Lancom. “Our customer portfolio includes Downer, Linfox Armaguard, Mondiale VGL, Barwon Health and other enterprises relying on Lancom's expertise across cloud, managed services, cybersecurity, digital workplace solutions, business applications, and more. We have the skills and capacity, and now we have the in-country leadership.”

As a result, the company sees substantial opportunities to expand further within sectors where it already has proven experience, including logistics, transport, financial services, healthcare, government, and commercial enterprise.

He’s pleased to be part of a winning team. “Lancom has always stood out because of its people, culture and technical capability," he notes. “The company has an outstanding reputation for service delivery and innovation, foundations that I’ll be building upon. We're not looking to reinvent the wheel, but rather extending proven model that has delivered outstanding customer outcomes across New Zealand and Australia.”

A key part of the growth strategy is expanding local capability in Australia. Plans include increasing customer-facing technical expertise, strengthening business development resources, and building a larger local presence while leveraging Lancom's broader trans-Tasman delivery capability.

The company also sees significant growth opportunities in cloud and infrastructure services as organisations modernise their technology environments. Australian organisations are forecast to spend more than A$33 billion on public cloud services in 2026 alone, reflecting ongoing investment in cloud platforms, AI workloads, and digital transformation initiatives.

Looking ahead, Moran's ambition is to establish Lancom as one of Australia's most respected technology service providers. “I'd like to see Lancom’s recognition in Australia expanded as a trusted partner known for technical excellence, strong service delivery and genuine customer outcomes," he says. "The local market presents enormous opportunities, and we're well positioned to help organisations unlock value from cloud, cybersecurity, software development and emerging technologies such as AI.”

Bernardes welcomes Moran on board. “Australia represents an exciting growth opportunity for Lancom, and Bernard’s appointment as Country Head gives us dedicated leadership on the ground as we build the next chapter of our business. Bernard brings a strong commercial mindset alongside a genuine focus on customers, partnerships and people. His appointment reflects our commitment to investing in Australia for the long term, building local relationships and bringing the breadth of Lancom’s technology and managed services capabilities to more Australian organisations.”
