Our highlights from Microsoft Ignite 2021

Microsoft Ignite is a three-day virtual conference with keynotes from Microsoft executives and updates on Microsoft products. We’ve digested all of the Ignite 2021 announcements and chosen three things we think every user of Microsoft products should be excited about.

Microsoft Teams Connect

This will help organisations collaborate more seamlessly with customers and partners by enabling shared channels. You'll no longer have to change users to collaborate as it will appear in the main channel together with the usual teams.

Microsoft Teams Virtual Events

Virtual events will continue throughout 2021 and Microsoft have announced new features and functionality for improving virtual events hosted in Microsoft Teams. Things like opening the microphone, using surveys, chatting, presenter mode and use of a whiteboard with external elements.

Microsoft Viva

This is Microsoft’s employee experience platform which is intended to combine various tools for employee wellbeing, engagement, learning, and knowledge discovery.
