Lancom Technology grows managed services customers with strategic acquisition

Lancom Technology, an Auckland based software and technology provider, has announced the acquisition of PowerNet Computer Consultants NZ Ltd, the local arm of a mid-sized Australian company. The key acquisition sees Lancom Technology significantly increase its customer base with more than 160 new customers joining.

The opportunity for Lancom Technology is to support these new customers through offering a broader solution range, including Microsoft productivity applications, Microsoft Azure, AWS, and custom application development.

With this deal, the Australian principal of PowerNet Computer Consultants - PowerNet IT Solutions - has withdrawn from the New Zealand market to focus on its own domestic growth.

Among the customers now onboarding, many are still traditionally architected. This is where Lancom Technology is well placed to add value through modernisation, automation, integration, improvements and the delivery of cloud solutions.

Lancom Technology remains interested in future acquisitions, with a specific focus on managed services providers looking to become part of a larger organisation.
